Opportunity Description
Status: 1.0 FTE (Full-Time)
Shift: 10 hours, plus variable weekend on-call requirement
Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitor PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Handles medications under the supervision of the surgeon or nurse. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years of experience as operating room technician or certification in OR technology. Ability to function independently as operating room scrub in all surgical specialties.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED preferred. Graduation from a surgical tech two-year program preferred. Nurses involved in the care of orthopedic and spine patients must adhere to defined educational and competency requirements in compliance with DNV Orthopedic and Spine cert...
