Responsibilities Assist in the measurement or determination of distances, elevations, areas, angles, land boundaries, and other features of the earth's surface. Assists in setting survey monuments; this requires digging holes with shovels and rock bars for prolonged periods. Prepares or reviews the preparation of field notes, random lined diagrams, and computations to determine whether closures are within prescribed lines of accuracy.
