System Engineer

Job Description: - Oversee Design Transfer through the application of Design for Excellence principles. - Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned systems and provide training as necessary. - Act as a liaison between Research & Development, Manufacturing counterparts, and Suppliers. - Ensure ease of assembly and high yield rates by conducting design reviews and utilizing assembly and test fixtures. - Govern and drive cost efficiencies: o Through system design optimization during the design phase, o By applying LEAN principles in manufacturing. - Ensure product development considers future sustaining activities. - Design and develop assembly/test jigs and fixtures. - Ensure proper documentation is available in accordance with Design and Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS) requirements for instrument industrialization. - Develop and manage workflows with the development team as needed to ensure compliance with QMS requirements.
