Opportunity Description
**Description**
SAIC is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to lead the Space Reactor-1 (SR-1) Freedom and Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) efforts. SR-1 will demonstrate nuclear electric propulsion and provide a path to higher powered and longer duration Mars missions. The candidate would be Supporting the SR-1 PPE Lead Systems Engineer.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** :
+ Definition and oversight of PPE assembly, integration and test (AI&T)
+ Development of GSE requirements
+ Development of launch site ground operations
+ Coordinate activities with the SR-1 Vehicle Integration team
+ Provide insight and oversight of the prime contractor’s AI&T team
**Location:**
+ Work will be performed in Cleveland, Ohio, onsite at NASA GRC 5-days a week.
