Tailings Engineer – Entry level, full‑time, Midrand. Join the Mine Waste team at WSP to deliver geotechnical and tailings services aligned with the WSP suite of engineering products.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailings services on projects in the mining industry.
• Provide basic technical advice and consultancy on tailings and geotechnical issues.
• Start developing internal client relationships.
• Use basic techniques, modifications and extensions of theories and practices to synthesise and analyse data for decision making and recommendations.
• Keep abreast of advancing technologies, methods and research & development.
• Manage, analyse and report tailings data for projects, including design and inspection of mine waste storage facilities, construction of tailings deposits, operation and management of deposits, properties and behaviour of tailings, closure and deposit stability and s...
