Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment, treatment, education and management of clients requiring occupational therapy as a result of an injury and/or a disease process which has affected the functional abilities of the clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify scope of practice and communicate that scope
• Identify possible limitations of practice and attempt to seek out alternative sources of service
• Manage and organize clinical practice
• Identify potential risks and minimize risk factors in practice setting
• Ensure patient safety and infection prevention and control
• Gather and analyze pertinent information to aid in the decision making process
