Overview
We are looking for an empathetic and capable individual who is committed to supporting the hauora of our ākonga. This fixed‑term, part‑time opportunity (19 hours per week) within the Te Ara Oranga Project supports Māori and Pasifika health students in the Tertiary Re‑engagement for Health Workforce Pathways programme at Manukau Institute of Technology and Unitec.
Role Details
Part‑time, 18.75 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, half‑day Wednesday). Fixed‑term role until the end of November 2026.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Hauora Navigator to assist with Māori knowledge and cultural celebrations, including powhiri and other events.
- Partner with the Te Ara Oranga team to identify and support the spiritual, social, emotional and cultural needs of our ākonga in their tertiary learning journey.
- Help lead student engagement activations with the TAO Health Workforce Transition Co‑ordinator.
