**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Performs all job functions of Group Leader Laboratory – Technical on an as needed basis.
+ In addition to managerial and administrative duties, the Group Leader performs all duties of R01337 SEMI Histotechnologist.
+ Schedules and leads group huddles for the Histology group.
+ Check overdue lists for both surgical pathology and dermatopathology cases as well as ancillary testing including IHC and special staining.
+ Monitor priority cases.
+ Correct reports as necessary.
+ Maintains compliance with CLIA and CAP standards.
+ Monitors Histology performance metrics including but not limited to: daily Turn-Around Time, quality control reports, and tech productivity.
