Technical Superintendent (Gas)

Take care of a group of gas carrier ships (LNG/LPG) and keep them safe and ready to sail Plan repairs, maintenance and inspections so ships stay in good condition with no delays Track each ship's performance and costs using the company's maintenance and fleet software Organise and watch over dry-docking work, from planning to being there in person Pay close attention to cargo and gas-handling systems, making sure they are safe and working well Work with classification societies, port authorities and parts suppliers to sort out problems fast Check and approve orders for spare parts and supplies while keeping within budget Visit ships often to make sure they follow ISM, ISPS, MARPOL and IGC Code safety rules Look into faults, accidents and close calls, then put fixes in place to stop them happening again Write clear reports on ship condition and performance for managers and owners Requirements A degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a similar field; a Class 1 Ma...
