Performs cost analysis, feasibility studies on different models of equipment for comparative analysis of performance characteristics, updates the equipment configuration for local area network. Reviews technical literature to maintain in-depth knowledge of product availability and industry trends. Arranges for installation and testing of new products to determine their compatibility with existing baselines. Develops, presents mission briefings, systems briefings, and systems/operational training to management, staff, and end-users as required. Conducts local customer and remote site visits to ascertain existing IT capability and proposes changes in system architecture to address advances in technology or special requirements for end-users.
