Technician - Catering Equipment
Location: JHB - LanseriaType: Contractor
Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, service, and maintain commercial cooking equipment with emphasis on mechanical systems, gas appliances, ovens, and user-facing performance issues.Core Equipment Scope:
- Combi ovens and convection ovens
- Gas and electric ranges
- Stoves, cooktops, fryers, grills, charbroilers
- Light catering appliances where relevant
Key Technical Skills:
- Gas appliance fault diagnosis (LPG and Natural Gas principles)
- Burner systems, valves, regulators, ignition systems
- Mechanical systems: hinges, doors, seals, motors, belts
- Electrical diagnostics on ovens and appliances (sensors, relays, control boards)
- Calibration and performance testing (temperature accuracy, combustion quality)
