Technician (Laboratory) - Permanent

Job Description
Responsible for supporting the Company plant with chemical analysis and monitoring of critical materials and plant processes (e.g. pretreatment, e-coat) to ensure strict adherence to quality standards. The incumbent will also provide technical support for investigations and problem solving. Calibration / verification of analytical equipment and adherence to S.H.E.Q standards will form part of the scope of work of the technician.

The Job Requirements

Experience with various analytical techniques - e.g. Karl Fischer titration, scanning electron microscope, FTIR spectrophotometer – and test methods e.g. titrations.

Analytical and conceptual thinking.

Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Ability to perform the minimum required physical and mental requirements of the function.
