Telemetry Tech-Emergency Department-Part Time-7a-7p

Schedule: Part Time; 7a-7p (2-12 hour shifts a week)

Major Responsibilities:
Continuously monitor and interpret EKGs of patients on telemetry
1) Admit and discharge patients from central monitoring.
2) Interpret and alert team members of EKG rhythms
3) Notify appropriate staff for lead wires off, electrode and battery changes, and proper lead placement to ensure optimal QRS configuration on the telemetry monitor
4) Maintenance of appropriate communication logs
5) Report all changes in patient’s rhythm to appropriate staff
6) Consult emergency department nurse for complex arrhythmia analysis and interpretations and questions.
7) Provide documentation for the medical record of the patient’s baseline and rhythm and with any changes in heart rhythm.
