Seymour John are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established business based in Ellesmere, Shropshire, who are seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk to support their busy payroll function on a temporary basis.

We're urgently looking for a confident payroll professional to manage end‑to‑end processing for approximately 700 weekly employees within a fast‑paced environment.

The Opportunity

• End‑to‑end processing of weekly payroll (circa 700 employees)
• Collating and validating timesheets and attendance data
• Managing starters, leavers, and payroll amendments
• Processing statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
• Handling deductions (tax, NI, pensions, etc.)
• Resolving payroll queries from employees
• Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and payroll legislation
