Therapy Associate (Speech Therapy)

Job Scope Assist Speech Therapists to supervise and / or monitor patients during meals and swallowing therapies. Provide direct 1 to 1 patient care via swallowing therapy, e.g., oromotor exercises, Shakers. and communication therapy Provide caregiver training for diet / fluid modification and swallowing therapy Complete documentation on therapy tasks accurately and timely. Provide assistance before and during Speech Therapy sessions, including preparation of modified diet/fluids, translation of instructions by ST, and patient transfers if needed. Maintain consumable inventory for outpatient clinic and for inpatient STs. Assist in loan and hire of equipment or materials out of the department including distributing patient materials and clinical supplies. Provide administrative support including booking tele-consultation appointment for patients, data entry, billing and photocopying duties. Set up equipment for workshops.
