Tool Maker / CNC Machinist Job Summary The Tool Maker / CNC Machinist is responsible for all aspects of tool and die manufacturing, including the build and final assembly of progressive dies and fixtures, as well as the setup, operation, and basic programming of CNC mills and lathes. This role requires a high level of precision, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while maintaining tight tolerances. Key Responsibilities Build, assemble, and maintain progressive dies, fixtures, and tooling Perform all aspects of tool and die manufacturing with minimal supervision Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes Perform basic CNC programming and edits at the machine as needed Select appropriate feeds and speeds for various materials Troubleshoot and resolve tooling, machining, and production issues Work to extremely tight tolerances ( .0002) Operate various tool room equipment and machinery Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments Identify opportunities ...
