Traffic Signal Engineer in Sheffield

Your New Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Traffic Signal Engineer to join our dynamic Sheffield team, based on‑site at our Olive Grove Depot.

Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday. The role includes occasional out‑of‑hours work for signal commissioning and upgrades, participation in a standby rota, and working outdoors across the Sheffield network, including collaboration with contractors during installation and maintenance activities.

As a Traffic Signal Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation, optimisation, and maintenance of traffic signal systems to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians. You will analyse traffic data, develop signal timing plans, and support wider urban mobility strategies.
