Trainee Driver

Bakers Dolphin has had great success over the years training its own drivers. Many drivers have come to us with a standard car licence and found themselves driving a full coach on the continent 12 months later! A short interview should be sufficient to see if you have the necessary skills to become a trainee driver.

What qualifications and experience will I need?

You must hold a full EU driving licence and be aged at least 21 (or 18 to drive minibuses). If you have a full EU driving licence, we may take you on and train you to gain your PCV licence. You could also train independently to get a PCV licence by taking private lessons through a local training company. You can find licence application forms at your local Post Office.
