JOB SUMMARY
The post holder will work as an integral member of the laboratory team to help deliver a high quality laboratory service contributing to efficient and effective patient care.
KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Undertake routine laboratory investigations within the assigned department.Interpret, validate, and report laboratory results accurately and promptly.Communicate abnormal or critical results to clinicians and GPs in a timely manner.Perform quality control procedures and take corrective action when required.Carry out routine maintenance of laboratory analysers and equipment.Troubleshoot equipment and assay issues, escalating to suppliers or senior staff where necessary.Participate in laboratory method validation and instrument evaluations.Support research and development activities within the department.Rotate across different laboratory sections as required.<...
