Responsibilities
- Strategy development and implementation to enable support for surgical post‑graduate doctors in training (PGDIT) undergoing a period of out‑of‑programme for research (OOPR), including the development of both educators and PGDITs.
- Develop strategies to improve research opportunities and liaise with relevant educational institutions.
- Support PGDITs to enable access to opportunities to complement the existing surgical curriculum and provide pastoral support to those in OOPRs.
- Lead on the development of the School’s Recruitment and Retention Strategy and contribute to supporting the School Operational Programme.
