Transportation Assistant Fleet Manager

Summary This is a full performance level, non-supervisory position located in the VA Western Colorado Health Care System in the Engineering Service. The primary purpose of the position is to provide support and manage the facilities fleet. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to the following: Coordinate data submitted by various services within all divisions for fleet services. Coordinate vehicle requirements, training VA employees, planning, budgeting and maintaining consistency in fleet services. Monitors the fleet and communicates agency and local policies and priorities to all employees using vehicles and equipment within the fleet. Analyzes all vehicle use including mileage, number of trips, days used, number of passengers and always make sure the fleet is right sized and maintained within the VA/GSA standards to optimize maximum efficiency.
