Tree Team Leader

Cheshire East Council is seeking a committed Tree Team Leader to supervise an operational team, ensuring the delivery of cost‑effective, customer‑focused arboriculture services within a commercial environment. The postholder will lead the tree team in accordance with the Council's values, priorities, policies and procedures, maintaining health and safety, regulatory compliance, environmental standards and financial accountability.

Responsibilities

1. Plan and organise the work of the arboriculture teams, allocating human and physical resources within budget parameters; manage timesheets, holiday requests and absence processes.
2. Supervise the work of the teams in the postholder’s control, conducting regular and spot checks to ensure staff are following operational policies, wearing correct PPE, and complying with transport legislation.
