Ōmakau School is a rural school in the heart of Central Otago, located approximately 30km from Alexandra and 200km from Dunedin. Ōmakau is a welcoming rural service town with a strong sense of community and a relaxed Central Otago lifestyle.

At Ōmakau School, we aim to provide the best educational and developmental experiences possible for every child. We offer a wide range of engaging learning opportunities within a modern, well‑resourced environment, while also making the most of our unique local surroundings.
