Overview

DemocraFest University Organiser Role. We are a grassroots group of young people organizing Britain's first democracy festival, DemocraFest, to engage young people in politics outside the traditional party conferences. The festival aims to be informed by key issues affecting young people in the UK, in a relaxed, festival-style atmosphere with music and local food. DemocraFest will feature speakers from major political parties, celebrities, experts, podcasters, comedians, and musicians.DemocraFest aims to achieve three things: (1) Make 18 to 35-year-olds more socially and politically engaged. (2) Engage with views across the spectrum, especially if you don’t agree with them. (3) Show that debating and politics can be fun.
