Opportunity Description
We are a California-based accounting firm seeking a remote accountant with experience in general accounting and payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly bookkeeping for approximately 20 clients: posting bank transactions, preparing adjusting journal entries, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, reviewing reports
- Payroll processing for approximately 25 clients: entering hours, setting up new hires, updating employee information, processing third-party payments
- Accounts payable: entering and reviewing vendor bills
- Compliance support: sales and payroll tax returns, preparation of informational returns, property tax, and California annual reports
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, but open to 3 to 5 years depending on the quality of candidates presented
