Based in Edmonton and surrounding areas, the Utility Gas Fuser reports to the Foreperson or their designate. The Utility Gas Fuser performs fusions on gas pipe and provides a full installation cycle of gas facilities, such as, but not limited to, the following: install and complete all main line connections, including fittings, installing all service punch tees, completing tracer wire connections, and pressure testing completed main. In addition, the Utility Gas Fuser is responsible for submitting test documentation and ensuring proper documentation for as-builts. The Utility Gas Fuser will provide support to crews installing gas mains, tracer wires, and placing them online.
