Join Valard Construction as a Field Safety Advisor supporting safety initiatives on the Waasigan Transmission Line project near Thunder Bay, ON. Ensure adherence to Valard’s safety culture from day one!
Reporting to the Regional Safety Supervisor, you will play a strategic role in fostering a safe working environment. Your duties include daily site inspections, coaching on safety measures, and coordinating effective safety meetings. Being proactive in incident investigation and compliance monitoring will help elevate safety standards across the project.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure a safe work environment for all workers
• Conduct effective communication of safety expectations
• Participate in investigations to find root causes
• Deliver regular safety briefings and documentation
• Oversee daily hazard assessments and feedback
Requirements:
• Relevant Post-Secondary education in safety
• 5 years of experience in construction site safety
