Externship Experience
An externship experience at an NVA hospital will give students the unique opportunity to understand the day‑to‑day operations of the practice, and to gain valuable hands‑on clinical experience. New Glasgow Veterinary Clinic is a beautiful clinic located in a small town in Nova Scotia. We are a fast‑paced clinic with a great culture.
Responsibilities
- Gather patient histories
- Perform physical exams
- Create treatment plans and diagnostics
- Provide dentistry services
- Observe, assist, or perform surgical procedures
- Engage in medical management of patients
- Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients
