Veterinary Technician Practicum

Overview

NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final‑year veterinary technician students the chance to gain real‑world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs to develop clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology and more. Enhance your communication abilities with medical teams and clients, preparing you for a successful career as an RVT.

Program Details

Practicums range from two to eight weeks, fitting your schedule and career goals.

Eligibility

Eligible students are those enrolled in an accredited veterinary technician program in Canada and completing their final practicum in their final year.

Compensation

Students can receive a stipend to help with travel expenses, allowing you to focus on learning without financial worries.
