Wastewater Technician

**Job Description**
**General Purpose:**

Maintain daily functions of Wastewater Treatment Plant. Conduct required environmental tests, analysis and observations. Gather technical data and results for reports to be submitted to regulatory agencies.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Inspect equipment and monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges to determine load requirements and detect malfunctions.
+ Maintain chemical levels, adjustment to pH balance, and disinfection of water and other liquids.
+ Perform testing on daily samples, interpret daily results for operational trends, and make informed adjustments based on daily data collection.
+ Record operational data, meter and gauge readings on specified forms at specified frequencies.
+ Advise WWTP manager regarding potential areas of concern and then implement appropriate changes.
+ Maintain and repair WWTP equipment, general preventive maintenance, oil grease.
