Job Description

City Property is pleased to announce two vacant posts for Weekend Market Operatives.

The Weekend Market Operative will be based at the Glasgow Wholesale Markets in Blochairn as well as assisting with external markets at Shawlands and Partick. Main functions include liaising with traders and members of the public, providing on‑site support within the market locations and enabling a safe and effective service.

Salary for this post will be pro‑rata. Please note that there will be a NSW payment of WCD = £16.83 per four‑weekly pay period and also a WCD payment of £23.86 per four‑week pay period. Glasgow City Council is currently completing a Job Evaluation exercise and introducing a new pay and grading structure which may impact on current salaries quoted in job adverts. See
