Welder& Fitter - Sheet Metal Manufacturing

• Welding Processes: Perform high-quality TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding on a variety of materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret weld symbols and engineering drawings to determine specific weld locations, types, and sizes.
• Part Preparation: Use grinders, sanders, and clamps to prep surfaces and ensure proper fit-up before welding.
• Finishing: Grind, buff, and polish welded joints to achieve specific surface finishes or seamless appearances required for consumer-facing products.
• Quality Testing: Conduct visual inspections and use leak testing or dyes to ensure weld integrity and compliance with AWS standards.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of heat control and wire-speed settings to manage thin-gauge metals (typically 20ga to 7ga).
