Workplace Safety & Health cum Environmental Officer

The Workplace Safety & Health cum Environmental Officer duties and responsibilities are as follows:

To assist the occupier of the workplace or other person in charge of the workplace to identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes therein;

• To recommend reasonably practicable measures to the occupier.
• To recommend ways to minimize risk, and safe work procedures to control the risk.
• To assist in implementing the measures or safe work procedures.
• To investigate any incidents/accidents and advise on remedial measures to prevent recurrence.
• To work closely with relevant authorities on safety and health matters.
• To administer and implement an effective Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) in accordance with prevailing legislation and preparing for third-party external safety audit.
