Zoological Keeper

TheZoological Keeper will work with our diverse collection of birds and mammals. Primary responsibilities include training sessions using positive reinforcement and operant conditioning of the animals. This includes training in all aspects for husbandry and education, environmental enrichment, observations, record keeping, cleaning, food preparation and participation in the general wellbeing of all animals under the facility s care. The trainer should have a positive team approach within the Life Sciences Department.

• Undertake daily operations within the Life Sciences Department to ensure the highest level of safety, courtesy, education, efficiency, and operational readiness at all times.
• Compliance with health and safety standards in accordance with local municipality rules, regulations, and facility standard operating procedures.
• Provide good animal care and ensure habitats meet the needs of the animal.
